The Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) is part of UK government’s prestigious High Value Manufacturing Catapult network of research centres focused on developing advanced manufacturing systems incorporating areas such as: component manufacturing technologies, robotics/automation, and digital engineering.

The MTC employs around 900 people housed across six buildings at Ansty Business Park – J2 of the M6. This incorporates a purpose built apprentice training centre (also available for post college upskilling and short courses), 20,000+sq.mtr of workshop space, secure cells for highly sensitive R&D work, and £130m+ worth of state of the art (industrial) production equipment. 

MTC is an open access facility. MTC welcomes visits from any company involved in the manufacturing sector, from micro-SMEs to large enterprises.  The MTC is a secure site, due to the sensiitve nature of some of our projects; therefore we do require 24 hours notice before arranging a visit.
