Additional bespoke high-speed air test rigs can be developed and customized by making use of the 8 m^3 filtered, dry air storage facility. Air is compressed by a two-stage reciprocating compressor with a charging flow rate of 40 cfm and it is typically stored at 40 bar gauge. 70 bar abs (1000 psig) air storage is possible. Seven outlets (1 x 3 in, 4 x 2 in, 2 x 1 in) feed three laboratories on the ground, first, and third floors. Step-down Fisher pressure regulators are fitted to 1 x 3 in, 2 x 2 in, and 2 x 1 in outlets. Up to 2 kg/s outflow is available at the 3 in outlet at ground level.
