​The 1,320 m² high-bay facility in Egremont, one mile from the Sellafield nuclear site, services a growing demand for engineering development input to design, build and test new technologies an​d techniques from concept through to implementation. This new facility underlines our commitment to West Cumbria and complements the test rig facilities at our Technology and Innovation Centre in Birchwood, near Warrington.

 

  • Large rig hall, 24 m x 61 m with 1300 m2 of available floor space
  • 35 m tall high bay and low bay
  • 6m deep test pit (6 m x 6 m x 6 m), wet or dry, with 35 m of height above (33.6 m clearance to crane)
  • 20t overhead crane facility in the high bay
  • 60t overhead crane (with 20t auxiliary hoist) that covers all of the rig hall floor space
  • Extensive building services including HVAC, compressed air ring main (11 bar) and 415 V, 240 V and 100 V power supplies
