The High Value Manufacturing Catapult was established to be the catalyst for the growth and success of UK advanced manufacturing. The 7 centres offer access to world-class equipment, expertise and collaborative opportunities. The HVM Catapult works with manufacturing businesses of all sizes and from all sectors. The aim is to help turn ideas into commercial applications by addressing the gap between technology concept and commercialisation. Many space technology applications can in principle benefit from the expertise, techniques and facilities of the HVM Catapult.
The 7 centres have comprehensive websites with downloadable material giving excellent detail of capabilities and facilities. Many of these centres overlap with the requirements of space engineering often in unexpected ways. There is great potential for collaborative working for both SMEs and larger organisations.
